The first and most obvious group of candidates will be from Super Sentai. This long-running Japanese super-series is the forerunner to Power Rangers in America, and has been running for more than 40 seasons, plus movies and limites series.
Each year follows a formula you are probably familiar with, a group of teens to young adults uses mystic, spiritual, or technological powers to fight evil and protect the happiness of the Earth.
While each season is largely stand-alone, there are overlaps, references, and recurring themes that tie the meta-series together, as well as with sister show “Kamen Rider”
